This Spectroquant^® Sulfite test allows the accurate quantification of sulfite ions in various waters. In neutral solution sulfite ions react with 2,2′-dinitro-5,5′-dithiodibenzoic acid (Ellman′s reagent) to form an organic thiosulfate. This reaction results in the release of a thiol that is determined photometrically.

The Spectroquant^® Cell Tests come with pre-filled 16 mm round cells as well as all the required reagents to perform the analysis according to the procedure described in the accompanying instruction leaflet.
