| General description【一般描述】 | Water-soluble form of biotin-NHS. Water solubility is extremely convenient, eliminating the need to dissolve the reagent in an organic solvent such as dimethylformamide (DMF) and dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO) prior to use. Reacts with primary amines to biotinylate proteins under mild conditions. Since it is water-soluble, this compound can be used to biotinylate cell-surface proteins and proteins that are sensitive to organic solvents. |
