| General description【一般描述】 | Forkhead box protein G1 (FOXG1) is also called Brain factor 1 (BF-1), Brain factor 2 (BF-2), Forkhead-related protein FKHL1 (HFK1), Forkhead-related protein FKHL2 (HFK2) and Forkhead-related protein FKHL3 (HFK3). FOXG1 is a repressive transcription factor involved in establishing the regional subdivision of the developing brain and in the development of the telencephalon. FOXG1 expression is limited to the neurons of the developing telencephalon and is involved in Rett syndrome congenital variant (RTTCV). |
