Routinely evaluated by phosphorylation of 500 μM RARTLSFAEPG.
Purity was assessed by SDS-PAGE and Coomassie blue staining using 3μg of Haspin.

Specific Activity: where one unit of Haspin activity is defined as 1 nmol phosphate incorporated into 500 μM RARTLSFAEPG per minute at 30°C with a final ATP concentration of 100 μM.

10 μg of enzyme in 6.3 μL of 50 mM Tris/HCl pH 7.5, 300 mM NaCl, 0.1 mM EGTA, 0.03% Brij 35, 270 mM sucrose, 1 mM benzamidine, 0.2 mM PMSF, 0.1% 2-mercaptoethanol. Frozen solution.
Purified using Ni²⁺/NTA agarose. Purity 83% by SDS-PAGE and Coomassie blue staining.

Stable for 6 months at -70°C from date of shipment. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge original vial prior to removing the cap.
