Application【应用】 | Anti-G0S2, clone 2C13 ZooMAb®, Cat. No. ZRB1813, is a recombinant Rabbit monoclonal antibody that specifically targets G0S2 and is tested for use in Affinity Binding Assay, Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin), and Western Blotting. Quality Control Testing Evaluated by Western Blotting in Rat Heart tissue lysate. Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution of this antibody detected G0S2 in Rat Heart tissue lysate. Tested Applications Western Blotting Analysis: A 1:1,000 dilution from a representative lot detected G0S2 in lysates from human heart, mouse heart, and A7R5 cells. Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin) Analysis: A 1:100 dilution from a representative lot detected G0S2 in rat heart tissue sections. Affinity Binding Assay: A representative lot of this antibody bound G0S2 protein with a KD of 2.5 x 10-8 in an affinity binding assay. Note: Actual optimal working dilutions must be determined by end user as specimens, and experimental conditions may vary with the end user |

Target description【目标描述】 | G0/G1 switch protein 2 (UniProt: P27469; also known as G0/G1 switch regulatory protein 2, Putative lymphocyte G0/G1 switch gene, G0S2) is encoded by the G0S2 gene (Gene ID: 50486) in human. G0S2 is a highly conserved, mitochondrial protein that is widely expressed in vertebrate species. High expression of G0S2 is reported in peripheral blood cells, skeletal muscle, heart, liver and kidney. It is multifaceted protein that is involved in cell proliferation, apoptosis, inflammation, metabolism, and carcinogenesis. The G0S2 gene is reported to be hypermethylated in several human cancer cell lines. Its promoter region contains potential binding sites for AP1, AP2, AP3, and Nuclear factor of activated T cells (NFAT). The G0S2 protein is shown to contain two -helices that are separated by a hydrophobic sequence with the potential to generate turns and assume a β-sheet conformation. It also has several putative phosphorylation sites for protein kinase C (PKC) and casein kinase II. G0S2 can interact with Bcl2 and block the formation of Bcl2-Bax heterodimer to block apoptosis. In fat tissue it acts as a molecular brake on triglyceride catabolism. G0S2 is reported to be a major selective inhibitor of adipose triglyceride lipase (AGTL) and its hydrolase activity. This ZooMAb® recombinant monoclonal antibody, generated by our propriety technology, offers significantly enhanced specificity, affinity, reproducibility, and stability over conventional monoclonals. Storage and Stability【储存及稳定性】 | Recommend storage of lyophilized product at 2-8℃; Before reconstitution, micro-centrifuge vials briefly to spin down material to bottom of the vial; Reconstitute each vial by adding 25 μL of filtered lab grade water or PBS; Reconstituted antibodies can be stored at 2-8℃, or -20℃ for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze-thaws. |
