| Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | In gastric cancer cells, transmembrane protein 106A (TMEM106A) is methylated and downregulated. Expression of TMEM106A leads to suppression of cell growth and leads to apoptosis of gastric cancer cells. Expression of TMEM106A in renal cancer suppresses cell growth, cell migration and induces caspase 3 dependent apoptosis. TMEM106A is expressed in all neural cell lines. The mRNA levels of TMEM106A is upregulated in Alzheimer′s disease (AD) brain when compared to non-AD brain. |
