General description【一般描述】 | 5′-Nucleotidase, cytosolic III/uridine 5′- monophosphate hydrolase (NT5C3, UMPH) is an enzyme that catalyzes the dephosphorylation of the pyrimidine 5-prime monophosphates UMP and CMP to the corresponding nucleosides. NT5C3 also metabolizes nucleoside analogs such as gemcitabine and cytosine arabinoside (AraC) leading to possible cytotoxicity. Rabbit polyclonal anti-NT5C3 antibody reacts with bovine, human, mouse, rat, chicken, zebrafish, rabbit, and canine 5′-Nucleotidase, cytosolic III/uridine 5-prime monophosphate hydrolases. |

Application【应用】 | Rabbit Anti-NT5C3 antibody can be used for western blot applications at a concentration of 0.5-5.0μg/ml. Rabbit polyclonal anti-NT5C3 antibody is used to tag 5′-nucleotidase, cytosolic III/uridine 5′- monophosphate hydrolase) for detection and quantitation by immunocytochemical and immunohistochemical (IHC) techniques. It is used as a probe to determine the presence and roles of 5′-Nucleotidase, cytosolic III/uridine 5′-monophosphate hydrolase in the metabolism of UMP, CMP and various nucleoside analog drugs such as gemcitabine and cytosine arabinoside (AraC). |
Biochem/physiol Actions【生化/生理作用】 | Pyrimidine 5-prime-nucleotidase (P5N), also called uridine 5-prime monophosphate hydrolase (UMPH), catalyzes the dephosphorylation of the pyrimidine 5-prime monophosphates UMP and CMP to the corresponding nucleosides. There are 2 isozymes of pyrimidine 5-prime nucleotidase in red blood cells, referred to as type I (UMPH1) and type II (UMPH2). The 2 enzymes are not separable by electrophoresis in humans but have distinct kinetic properties, and the proteins show no homology. Pyrimidine 5-prime-nucleotidase (P5N; EC 3.1.3.5), also called uridine 5-prime monophosphate hydrolase (UMPH), catalyzes the dephosphorylation of the pyrimidine 5-prime monophosphates UMP and CMP to the corresponding nucleosides. There are 2 isozymes of pyrimidine 5-prime nucleotidase in red blood cells, referred to as type I (UMPH1) and type II (UMPH2; MIM 191720).
