Anti-GAL3ST1 antibody produced in rabbit, a Prestige Antibody, is developed and validated by the Human Protein Atlas (HPA) project (www.proteinatlas.org). GAL3ST1 (Galactosylceramide sulfotransferase) gene encodes a protein that catalyzes the sulfonation of membrane glycolipids. It is also known as cerebroside sulfotransferase, CST. It catalyzes galactosylceramide sulfate (sulfatide) synthesis in the Golgi apparatus. Sulfatide is a major lipid component of the myelin sheath and of seminolipid present in spermatocytes. Its activity is increased in renal cancer cells.
