| General description【一般描述】 | Forkhead proteins are transcription factors that contain a DNA binding motif, winged helix, called a forkhead box. These proteins regulate genes involved in major cell processes such as embryonic development, cell proliferation and differentiation. Forkhead box Q1 (FOXQ1) is involved in the regulation of epithelial differentiation by promoting the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), a normal process that also supports cancer invasion and metastasis. |
