Cronobacter spp. ChromoSelect Agar is recommended for the isolation and identification of Cronobacter spp. from milk and milk products.

Suspend 30.75 g in 1000 ml distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 Ibs pressure (121℃) for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50℃ and pour into sterile petri plates.

The designations basic, plus, or prime are added to indicate the quality control level, from basic quality control to standard QC plus to prime for full regulatory compliance.
