Cronobacter spp. ChromoSelect Agar is recommended for isolation and identification of Cronobacter spp. (fomerly Enterobacter sakazakii) from food, water, sewage, urine and feces samples.

Suspend 51.67 g in 1000 ml distilled water. Heat to boiling to dissolve the medium completely. Sterilize by autoclaving at 15 Ibs pressure (121 ℃) for 15 minutes. Cool to 45-50℃ and pour into sterile petri plates.

The designations basic, plus, or prime are added to indicate the quality control level, from basic quality control to standard QC plus to prime for full regulatory compliance.
